How to create Collections in Travel Shops

Collections are an easy way to share your favorite hotel recommendations in a list format with your audience and other travelers. These Collections are displayed on your Travel Shop and can be shared directly via a unique link.

You can create and manage Collections using a web browser (recommended) or the Expedia mobile app.

Option A. Using a web browser (recommended) 

Creating and managing Collections via a web browser is the preferred method for a seamless experience. Follow these steps:

1. Access your Travel Shop
   Open your Travel Shop on any desktop browser of your choice. Can't see the '+ Create' button? Make sure you are logged into your Expedia account using the same email address that you use to log in to the Expedia Group Travel Creator Program.
2. Create a new Collection
   • Click the “+ Create” button and select “Collection”.

• Enter the required details, such as the Collection name and description.

• Choose whether to keep the Collection private until you’re ready to share. You can update the visibility setting later.

3. Add Properties to Your Collection

• Search for properties to include in your Collection.

• Add meaningful descriptions for each property to provide travelers with valuable context.

4. Edit an Existing Collection

• Locate the Collection or property on your Travel Shop you wish to modify and click the pencil icon to edit.
• If the pencil icon is not visible, verify that you’re logged into your Expedia account with the correct email address used for the Travel Creator Program.

Option B. Using Expedia mobile app

You can also manage Collections through the Expedia mobile app. Follow these steps:

    1. Create a New Collection

  • Open the Expedia app and search for a property to add.
  • On the property details page, tap the toolbox icon in the top-right corner.
  • Select “Add to Collection” from the bottom sheet.
  • Enter a description for the property, provide a Collection name and description, and set the audience visibility. Tap Save.

  2. Edit an Existing Collection

• Navigate to the Accounts section in the app and select “Manage Collections”.
• Add more properties to an existing Collection or create a new Collection with a different theme by repeating the steps above.

Important Notes

• Currently, deleting a Collection is not supported. To hide a Collection from your audience, set its visibility to “Only me”.
• Always use the same Expedia account email for both the Travel Creator Program and your Travel Shop to ensure full access to all features.
