Creator account inactivity and deactivation FAQ

If you received an email about Creator account inactivity, this FAQ explains why inactive accounts are reviewed, what activity counts, and what you can do to keep your account active.

If your account has been inactive for more than 12 months, you may be asked to record qualifying activity within the timeframe stated in your email.

1. Why is my creator account being reviewed for inactivity?

We periodically review Creator accounts that have shown no activity for an extended period. If your account has been inactive for more than 12 months, you may receive an email asking you to record new activity within the timeframe provided in the email (i.e., 21 days) to keep your account active in the Program.

2. What does "inactive" mean?

For the purposes of this review, an inactive Creator account is one that has not recorded qualifying activity for over 12 months.

Qualifying activity includes at least one of the following:

• Driving clicks through your affiliate links
• Generating a booking through your affiliate links

3. What do I need to do to keep my account my active?

To keep your account active, you must record new activity within 21 days of receiving the notification email. You need to complete one of the following actions:

• Drive clicks through your affiliate links
• Generate a booking through your affiliate links

Once qualifying activity is recorded; no further action is needed at that stage.

4. How long do I have to take action?

Please refer to the date in your email notice. This will usually be 21 days of receiving the email you will have to record qualifying activity.

5. What happens if I do not take action within 21 days?

If no qualifying activity is recorded within the timeframe stated in your email (i.e., 21 days), we reserve the right to terminate your participation in the Program with 30 days' prior written notice.

If that happens, your Creator account may then be deactivated following that notice period.

6. Does the inactivity email mean my account has already been terminated?

No. The inactivity email is not a termination notice.

It gives you the opportunity to record qualifying activity within the stated timeframe (i.e., 21 days of receiving the email). If no qualifying activity is recorded, a separate 30-day written notice would be sent to you to notify you of the termination of your participation in the Program.

7. What happens when my account is deactivated?

If your participation in the Program is terminated and your account is deactivated, you will lose access to Creator account features and tools associated with the Program.

8. Do I need to do anything after activity is recorded?

No. Once qualifying activity is successfully recorded within the stated timeframe, no further action is required.

9. What activity counts towards keeping my account active?

The following actions count as activity for the purposes of keeping your account active:

• A click through one of your affiliate links
• A booking generated through one of your affiliate links

If you are unsure whether your recent activity qualifies, check your account performance for the latest activity recorded on your account.

10. How long does it take for activity to appear on my account?

In some cases, it may take a short period of time for clicks or bookings to appear your performance dashboard. If you have completed qualifying activity and do not see it reflected right away, please allow some time before contacting support.

11. I logged in. Is that enough to keep my account active?

No. Logging in to your account does not count as account activity.

To keep your account active, you must record at least one qualifying click or one booking through your affiliate links within the timeframe stated in your email.

Once this activity is recorded, your account will remain active, and no further action is needed.

12. I missed the notification email. Can I still keep my account active?

If you did not see the email straight away, including because it was filtered into your spam or junk folder, please check the deadline stated in the message as soon as possible.

You can still keep your account active by recording qualifying activity before the deadline, provided it has not passed yet.

Where no qualifying activity is recorded within the stated timeframe, we may send a separate 30-day written notice to terminate your participation in the Program.

Once an account has been deactivated, reactivation may not be available as part of this process. In that case, you will need to create a new account through the current application process if you would like to participation in this Program again.
